Frequently Asked Questions

Nick can meet in person in your home or community gym, or you can choose to meet virtually for a 1 hour initial evaluation and subsequent online programming. Virtual patients and clients will have online programming via an app and access to Nick via direct messaging with a 24-hour response time.
-
In-person sessions are for individuals who require more hands-on services, coaching, or monitoring. Some people prefer the more hands-on nature of in-person sessions, as this may include manual therapies, therapeutic exercises, or accountability. For individuals who prefer to have a structured plan with online check-ins and programming, the online services may be a good option for them.

Services are always one-on-one and no bouncing between therapists. Nick is fully committed to you and you have access to him within 24 hours via messaging, whether you choose to go with virtual or in-person. Insurance companies typically only allow you to treat one diagnosis at a time and approve visits for basic needs, such as reaching overhead or getting out of bed without pain. This model allows you to be seen until your goals are met, no matter how long it takes.

Yes! Even if you are not directly considered “post-op”, Nick is more than happy to meet you where you are at in your recovery journey. Often, pain and mobility restrictions can linger years after a surgery and can still be addressed with physical therapy
-
Frequency and number of visits is unique to everyone based upon diagnosis, needs, and plan of care. With that being said, there is always flexibility to adjust how frequent visits are. Some people start out with 1-2x a week and want to see how that works for a few months. Others who are more independent may do a few in-person sessions, then continue with online check-ins and fitness programming after autonomy has been established. Nick created this model to be able to accommodate whatever your health and fitness needs may be at any given time
-
Initial evaluations are typically 1 hour and follow-up sessions are 55 minutes
-
In-person sessions are $150/session and virtual services are $300/month. A 15-minute phone call is required prior to in-person services. The initial evaluation is always no cost, no obligation to see if we may be a good fit!
-
If you choose in-person services, evaluations typically include an in-depth injury screen and discussion of prior medical history, a thorough movement assessment, and abbreviated treatment session including manual therapies and/or exercise. A clear plan will be developed to directly address your goals. For virtual services, you will complete a virtual 1 hour evaluation with Nick where you will discuss relevant injury history and goals, assess available equipment and space, and complete a movement assessment. After the evaluation, a clear plan will be established and Nick will give you a structured exercise program delivered in 4-6 week blocks.

Yes! One of the biggest reasons Nick created this model was to work with people long-term with a provider they can trust. Nick has extensive experience in working with clients from initial rehabilitation to elite performance.

No, in the state of Massachusetts you do not need a referral from your doctor for physical therapy services. We are considered a “direct-access” state, meaning we can evaluation, treat, and manage your care without the hassle of visiting your doctor prior to beginning physical therapy. With that being said, Nick will properly refer you out to the appropriate healthcare provider if you may require additional services that is outside the scope of a physical therapist.
